The Premier League commissioned Camouflage to create an on-air identity for their worldwide broadcast service. The team were given an open brief to brand the 24-hour content service who supplies global licensees outside the UK and Ireland.
The simple concept, ‘BIG on Football’, looks affectionately at the giant passion that fans have for their football teams, a devotion that arguably outstrips many other sports. The idea was to follow a fan in a seemingly everyday life and work setting, whilst they pay a huge tribute to their team, often in an equally huge medium. The ongoing series of channel idents play on distinctly British characteristics and eccentricities.
The Camouflage CGI department handled the entirety of concept, storyboarding, pre-production, direction and post-production. A small cast and crew allowed the production to be agile, with idents shot and post-produced in 4k on the Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro. Cementing this growing side of the business, the team were lucky enough to bring on board some incredibly talented DOPs and sound designers making each of the idents a joy to create.
